MCIS Language Solutions announced at their Annual General Meeting that Interpreter Intelligence won their Professional Partner of the Year Award! Every year, MCIS gives the award to a business partner that has contributed substantially to their growth and development. MCIS partnered with Interpreter Intelligence in 2017 to improve the scalability of their interpretation services department.

MCIS is proud to have awarded Interpreter Intelligence with Professional Partner of the Year,” said Latha Sukumar, MCIS’ Executive Director. “Due to the unique needs of each of our business units, we had to implement specific service delivery platforms. Luckily, we did not have to reinvent the wheel for interpretation services. Interpreter Intelligence’s out of the box solution closely met several of our needs, and where it did not, it forced us to re-examine processes and streamline them to deliver language services more efficiently and effectively. And for all of that, we are grateful.

Williams Pedrogan, MCIS’ IT & Internal Operations, added, “One of our biggest challenges as a service delivery organization is to have the right processes and technology in place to be cost effective while fulfilling the requirements of stakeholders. Back in 2017, we identified the need to do something and we were very lucky to find Interpreter Intelligence. The implementation was a challenging, although very rewarding, process for us. Our partnership is not a one-time project, but rather a collaborative effort from which we have mutually benefited since we see in II a partner, not just a vendor. To many more years of continuous collaboration.”

“Through this partnership, Interpreter Intelligence has allowed MCIS to consolidate the functions of a customer request portal, a request management interface, an interpreter management system and an interpreter login portal under one single environment, adding the functions of proximity detection, interpreter availability, compliance management, pricing customization, booking duplication, and a whole slew of other functions, significantly improving the scalability of its Interpretation Services Department.

Conor Power, CEO of Interpreter Intelligence, said to be “very honored to be a recipient of this award. MCIS truly does important work for the community in Toronto and Canada, and we are thankful to be a small part of that. MCIS has not only been a productive and rewarding partner, they have pushed us to be a better company. I would like to thank the rockstar team at MCIS for their cooperation and I hope our partnership will continue to thrive for many more years to come.

Interpreter Intelligence unfortunately could not make it to Toronto to receive the award, but we did record this video to say thanks. Since the theme of this year’s annual general meeting was celebrating indigenous languages, we also had some team members say a few words in their native languages.
